Landlord’s Energy Saving Allowance.

If you are an individual Landlord who pays income tax on letting profits, you may be able to claim allowances to make energy-saving improvements to your property against the tax you pay.

The Landlord’s Energy Saving Allowance (LESA) was introduced to encourage Landlords to improve the energy efficiency of let residential properties. It is an allowance for the cost of acquiring and installing certain energy-saving items.

The allowance is available on qualifying expenditure on specified energy-saving items incurred before 6th April 2015.
